Parthenogenesis.

Well, this is the inaugural post in this new blog of mine. I'm writing this to share with you some of my thoughts on health care with the hopes that you might respond in kind and we can start a dialogue together. Please register with blogger and start leaving me your comments.

Every movement begins with action. Every action is born from an idea. And every idea spontaneously emerges from the the reflection of the events of our daily lives on a kernel of Truth that reveals so clearly to us our slight discontentment with the world as it is compared with our hopes of all that it could be.

Yet we should also focus on what we have, the technological marvels and knowledge that helps keep a lot of us healthy, and redouble our efforts to provide access to this to all.

I believe that we can change health care in the United States and in the world. I believe that health care is a human right, and by caring for others, giving us all the right to life and dignity, we can affect social change in the world.

In 1967, Dr. Martin Luther King spoke of being "confronted with the fierce urgency of now. In this unfolding conundrum of life and history, there is such a thing as being too late. Procrastination is still the thief of time."

Each of us can make a difference, now. Let's talk about it some more.

Thanks and have a Happy and Healthy New Year!
